Mexico has been recognized as the biggest producer of tequila and silver in the world. A prize for
the best

Vitro’s most original and modern tequila containers get acknowledged.

When manufacturing a bottle for tequila, Vitro adds value to its customer’s products by original and attractive designs and simultaneously contributes to strengthen a national tradition. Most recently, the bottle of Tequila Camino Real won the Envase Estelar 2002 (Stelar Container 2002) award, granted by the Asociacion Mexicana de Envases y Embalaje (Mexican Container and Package Association, AMEE).

“It is an original bottle of tequila reposado that combines the strenght and body of tequila with the tasty flavor of Camino Real”, said Carlos Segovia, Marketing Manager for the Wine and Liquor Industry.

Every year, Vitro has demonstrated that its tequila bottles are an example of innovation. The four prices obtained at the Envase Estelar 1999 awards prove it. In that edition, the winning bottles where those of Tequila Don Eduardo, Tequila Honorable, Cava Santa and Tequila Aficionado.

But that was not the first time. In 1998, the bottles of Sauza Zaz, Tequila Ley .925 and Rey Sol won that same prize. These last two bottles also won that year’s World Star Awards, given away by the World Packaging Organization (WPO).

Additionally, clients such as Pedro Domecq, Sauza, Casa Cuervo, Orendain, Cava Santa and Herradura have acknowledged Vitro for its works.

The AMEE and the WPO are organizations that honor the best in container design, nation and worldwide respectively. Once a bottle has won an Envase Estelar award, it can compete in the World Star Awards.
